Innovation:

All our employees are dedicated to delivering top-notch products and ensuring their excellence before they leave our facility. Given that we build everything from scratch on-site, any innovative requests or alterations are handled internally. This approach empowers our engineers to unleash their creativity when envisioning a product’s potential uses. It’s not just about what the product can accomplish today, but how it will serve in the future.

Accessibility:

Accessibility is at the heart of what we do. By designing, engineering, and manufacturing pedestrian-accessible devices we are bettering not only our Boise community but those across the United States of America, Canada, and South America. We have worked with organizations like, Accessible Design for the Blind when creating products specifically geared toward helping the visually impaired. This promotes inclusivity by ensuring that all can fully participate in pedestrian activities. We also have an Assembly Support Department (ASD), which also stands for Autism Spectrum Disorder. We have hired autistic employees because we value their contribution to the workforce.

Our History:

Dick Campbell founded Campbell Company, a subsidiary of H.D. Campbell, an electrical components distribution company, in Seattle, Washington, in 1972. Originally established to supply products to the traffic industry, Campbell Company played a pivotal role in establishing the 2-inch pedestrian push button as a standard in the traffic industry. This push button has since become a federal requirement defined in the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

In November 2020, after being owned by the Tate family since 1998, the company underwent a change in ownership. It was sold to its employees through an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). The employees are committed to building on Campbell Company’s remarkable success and continuing to offer innovative and dependable products with a focus on pedestrian safety. To align with this new direction and mission, the company underwent a rebranding, adopting the name PedSafety to reflect the company’s position as a leader in pedestrian safety within the traffic industry.

PedSafety, a Campbell Company, proudly holds ISO 9001:2015 certification and specializes in designing, engineering, and manufacturing pedestrian accessibility products, primarily for the traffic industry, with a specific emphasis on intersection crosswalk solutions.
