Accessible Pedestrian Signals and Systems

AAPS (Advanced Accessible Pedestrian System)

AAPS is the first of its kind in pedestrian system management utilizing the mobility and convenience of a laptop, an Ethernet cable interface and any browser software. The AAPS pedestrian system is pre-configured at the factory for true plug and play installation. All movements by intersection, phase, and group can be synchronized. Individual or global settings are easily modified with a key stroke and day/night mode functions are configurable to optimize speech volume settings. The AAPS system report features can be downloaded to a network or PC allowing for operational and system integrity checks.

Whether you're the traffic engineer or the technician in the field, the simplicity and ease of the AAPS operating software will enable you to make informed decisions with information at your fingertips.next

Advisor APS

Advisor APS is a fully integrated pedestrian station (FIPS) that provides the pedestrian with visual, tactile and audible information about the intersection crossing at the pedestrian station. Advisor is designed to monitor the CMU output signal to the walk display while utilizing the existing wires from the traffic control cabinet. Installation is simple and non-intrusive making the Advisor an economically viable solution for independent locations or synchronized group movement.next

BBU (Base Broadcast Unit)

BBU provides the pedestrian with audible information about the status of the walk display. BBU consists of an Advisor driver board and a base unit. The driver board operates off line voltage from the pedestrian display and provides an audible signal with the walk display. BBU is designed for timed intersections with no pedestrian activation. This signal is broadcast from the base of the display unit and is focused on the pedestrian crossing initiation point.next
