BBU - Base Broadcast Unit

Product Overview:

BBU is a base broadcast unit that provides the pedestrian with audible information about the status of the walk display. Each time the walk display is active an audible tone or message is broadcast from the BBU mounted under the Ped Head near the pedestrian initiation point.

Benefits:

BBU is a simple solution for city core areas that do not have pedestrian actuation. BBU is mounted to the bottom of the ped head to focus the walk cycle signal towards the crossing initiation point.

Operating Features:

• Ambient gain control adjusts audio volume outputs to ambient noise levels

Form Factor:

• Driver Board 4 X 8 X 1.5 mounts in ped head
• BBU is 2 X 3.5” OD mounts to bottom of ped head
