ENLIGHTENED PPB

All Campbell Company Pedestrian Pushbuttons are available with a lighted “ enlightened “ signal utilizing the existing 2 wires typical on most intersection installations.

The signal is in the form of a Superbrite LED machined in to the solid SS Plunger. A wide angle diffusion lens provides a large viewing environment.

The PPB (and all PPBs on that pedestrian phase) is lighted when the controller has received a request to cross the intersection and is reset when the walk signal is initialized.

The Enlightened system consists of two components:

The Enlightened Relay fits into the cabinet and controls two pedestrian phases.
A superbright red LED, controlled by a circuit attached to the switch housing, is incorporated into the actuator of the PPB.

The Enlightened function provides important information to the pedestrian to help them understand that they have placed a call through Enlightened feedback, Working on the same principle as an elevator button

The default state of the LED is off.
When a call is placed, the LED lights.
When the walk cycle is initiated the LED goes off.
